That is why I have THREE different bottles in the photo at the top 😉 Sand Beige and Golden Beige are closest. I sometimes end up mixing several shades of Colorstay to get the right color. But in the summer, things get a little tricky. In the winter, Buff is a great shade for me.

My skin could best be described as “pale green” haha! In MAC I wear NC20 if that helps? I have definite olive-toned skin, but it is pale, not tan. I then take the same brush and blend it into my skin using circular motions. Revlon Colorstay is a quicker-drying foundation than most so you need to work quickly! Someday.Īnyways, I take the flat-top brush, dip it into the foundation on the back of my hand and begin by stippling it all over my face. Someday when I’m feeling brave, I’ll post a pic of me sans makeup and you’ll die. People mistakenly think I have “great skin” so I must be doing a decent job. I use Revlon Colorstay with a flat-top kabuki brush like e.l.f.’s Powder Brush (ignore the name!) to achieve as flawless of a look as possible.

If MAC foundations like Pro Longwear had a more affordable sister, this would be her.

When I was younger, I always thought it was “too heavy” but now that I am the seasoned old age of 28 (29 next month :0), I have come to appreciate it’s full coverage capabilities hardcore. My mom always wore Revlon Colorstay foundation. I’ll be telling you about Revlon Colorstay Foundation and Hard Candy Glamoflauge concealer. Out of all these products the only one i didnt care for was the liquid eyeliner.in my opinion Hard Candy is among the best of the budget makeup. If your skin is less than perfect, like mine, and you like a full coverage look on a drugstore budget, like me, here are two products that will cover all sins and scaries. I also use their mascara primer, carbon black volumizing mascara (the only mascara I've used that actually does what it says it should do), all different colors of their nail polish, their cream eyeshadow, pressed eyeshadow, lash tinsel/glitter (which i gotta say is soooo much fun!!), this "lotion"thats supposed to add a certain "glamour" or sheen to your skin, their cream makeup remover and their liquid eyeliner. I've used their Sheer Envy Primer for over a year now and its the only primer I'll ever use again. On a side note, Hard Candy has some AMAZING products. I use both liquid and powder foundation and it pretty much stays on all day. I was mainly baffled by how little you need to use out of the tube! It's great because that means you don't have to run out to buy a new one in a good long while. I have tried COUNTLESS concealers and this one has fixed every problem I have. Thank you for this amazing review!!! I have loved Hard Candy for a good while now and just recently purchased this specific item. Anyways thanks for another fantastic review!! Reply Delete In fact, if your curious, I would go to a clinique counter and ask if you can try a sample in the color light petal- that's the one I'm raving about, i can not recommend any other shades since i have not tried them. I'm not trying to sell you this product in any way. At 16 dollars it is pricey, but like i said, it lasts for over a year, even used everyday.

(I can not use it on any other part of my face it is really that peachy) I have severe under eye purple/blueness and it completely cancels it out. It is made for eyes, so it is practically orange. So pigmented that I use it everyday, since March 2010, and I still have another four months of use out of it. It comes in a squeeze tube-just like the hard candy one.

I have the lightest color which is 003 Light Petal. It also reminds me of a lesser known product that I LOVE! Clinique has a concealer called "All About Eyes" and it is AMAZING, it really is made for eyes. Since it aims at covering tattoos it reminds me of Kat Von Dee's "tattoo concealer", which has been the hype in the high-end makeup world right now. I think that this is such a great product.
